The new 2008 CMS claims data reporting requirement is causing concern among hospice providers.

The Quarterly Benchmark Submission period has started and the deadline is rapidly approaching. Quarter 4 2007 submissions are due January 27th, 2008.

Clients with the OCS-Gateway software will submit a Benchmark Submission file. Clients that do not have OCS Gateway will submit their OASIS export files and billing files through either the DERT (Data Exchange Retrieval Tool) on their workstation or through the DST (Data Submission Tool) on our website.

2008 has ushered in OCS Gateway v3.7 that incorporates the new CMS changes you have all eagerly awaited.

For compliance reasons, this upgrade is required for those who use OCS for direct data entry.

This upgrade is highly recommended for all clients who currently have Gateway installed, as the 2008 CMS initiatives such as the new version of OASIS (1.60) are incorporated.

To find what version you are on, follow these steps:

1) Launch OCS-Gateway and login using your credentials.
2) Look in the lower left corner of OCS- Gateway (current version will read 3.7.301)
3) Click on OCS-OASIS(DE) OCS-OASIS Data Entry and select GO.
4) Again look in the lower left corner of the Data Entry application (current version will read 3.7.305)
